Sharon Kent treats patients at The Classical Acupuncture Clinic, Ralli Hall, Station Approach. Hove, East Sussex, BN3 3TH, which is opposite Hove's main line train station giving easy access to patients throughout the County.

Sharon is a fully qualified Acupuncturist (Cert.Ac.AHPR), a member of several Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Societies and, as an experienced Practitioner, uniquely blends 5 Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She originally qualified in Traditional Chinese Medicine when she received her Diploma in Shiatsu from the Institute of Oriental Medicine in Tokyo, Japan in 1981. She is also a qualified tutor and until recently was a lecturer at a nearby Further & Higher Education College where she diagnosed, assessed and taught students with dyslexia. She has carried out research on treating additional learning needs with acupuncture and it's effectiveness. She also tutored on the short Acupuncture courses taught by Jamie Hedger and now has her own training company Aculift Training, where she teaches the FRA or Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture protocol.

Sharon has travelled extensively around the World and has lived, worked and studied in many countries including Bermuda, Japan and Indonesia. She has returned to her home town in Sussex.

Sharon says "I have always had an interest in complementary medicine and have tried whereever possible to include it in my life. I strongly believe that to successfully treat any condition we have to find the cause and and treat the whole person, not just treat the sympton. If a patient has pain I have to find out what is causing that pain and treat that, not just provide pain relief. If a person is overweight there is often an emotional and or physical reason behind it, once that has been uncovered and treated, the weight problem will sort itself out."
